The AQ3 water treatment system consists of 5 filters (5 treatment steps):

• Three preparatory filters.  The purpose of these filters is to protect the RO membrane by trapping all contaminants greater than 1 micron (0001 mm). In order to ensure good system performance and water purification, the preparation filters should be replaced once every 6 months. 

• Reverse osmosis membrane of high capacity. The RO membrane is the heart of the water treatment system, filtering water at a molecular level of up to 0.0001 µm. The membrane removes bacteria, viruses, harmful inclusions and radioactive particles. It is the reverse osmosis membrane that removes up to 96 -99% of all known contaminants from the water. The service life of the RO membrane is about 7 years.

• Rear filter or "post filter". The activated coconut carbon filter improves the taste properties of the already purified water. This filter should be replaced once a year.
