WaterBoss (USA) produces the highest quality water softening systems. These systems are designed to soften both tap water and well water.   

     A self-cleaning mechanical filter protects the entire system from sand and other contaminants. The WaterBoss technology allows the removal of iron even in concentrations of up to 10 mg/l. Thanks to the special design of the column, there is no stagnation zone. 

     The WaterBoss load differs from those used in standard water softening filters.

     WaterBoss operates on the principle of ion exchange. Hard water is passed through the so-called ion exchange resin, which results in a chemical reaction: the ion exchange resin takes away magnesium and calcium ions from the water, and in return gives away sodium ions, the water is softened and becomes suitable for use.

     WaterBoss systems use Fine class monodisperse resin, the granules of which have a better contact with water than column-type softeners. This advantage of the filter is possible due to the use of a special flow distribution system: the resin is tightly packed between the polymeric mesh size of 20 microns, which achieves low hydrodynamic pressure, high kinetics of ion exchange and the absence of stagnation of resin, not involved in the work.

     During water purification, the resin loses its sodium ions and together with them loses the ability to purify the water, but does not need to change it. It can also be restored and, moreover, the filter does it on its own, repeatedly and according to a schedule: it washes the resin with a solution of common sodium chloride (NaCl), which makes the resin enriched with sodium ready for operation again, this restoration process is called regeneration or washing. 

     The regeneration process is initiated by an automatic, programmable controller that is set up once when the filter is installed. Usually the rinsing takes place at night, when the water consumption and its discharge into the sewerage is minimal, this controller determines for itself, the filter is completely silent and does not prevent anyone from sleeping. For the correct operation of the filter, it is important to ensure that the salt tank is not empty.

     While the columns with a capacity of 1.5 m³/h require 3 to 5 kg of salt, thanks to the good contact with water and the special flow distribution system, WaterBoss filter loads an average of 1.5 kg of salt per rinse.

WaterBoss 700/900 – complex water treatment filters

     WaterBoss 700/900 is a multifunctional system that combines a mechanical self-cleaning filter, a defroster and a water softener.

     WaterBoss 700/900 systems, despite their small size, will be able to easily and quickly purify water for the entire country house or cottage. WaterBoss 700/900 filters are designed with the latest technology. The systems work on the principle of ion exchange. In order to prevent the oxidation of iron on the ion-exchange resin, which works with the filter, the WaterBoss 700/900 system is equipped with a special valve that prevents air from entering the tank with the resin.

     The WaterBoss 700/900 systems use Fine resin and its granules allow more contact with water than standard softeners. This means that WaterBoss speeds up the ion exchange process itself many times over. This advantage of the filter is due to the patented flow distribution system, where the resin is clamped between the screens.
